Drama pro mikrofon. Česká rozhlasová hra za protektorátu

Lenka Jungmannová

During the occupation, in the Czech radio existed probably the largest „laboratory“ of dramatic creation to this day, where about three hundred original Czech plays were written and staged.

The Protectorate radio dramaturgy encouraged the creation of original plays in an attempt to promote national self-esteem and develop radio poetics. Pierre Bourdieu, for example, describes a similar situation of autonomization. This monograph is devoted to the autonomization process of the original Czech Protectorate radio play. The first part of the work consists of a theoretical study of the phenomena of radio play and radio staging. The second part contains analyses of the surviving plays, which are seen in a broader cultural context, and the last part focuses on the process of the formation and existence of the radio play in the medium.
